The engine control wiring connects to the terminals on the engine start relay (1). The engine start relay is located on the left of the microprocessor. Illustration 1 shows the location of the terminals.
There is a battery (2) in the upper left corner of the controller. This is a backup battery for the system clock. A protective strip is placed between the battery and the retaining clip for the battery at the factory. The protective strip must be removed from the battery for the program to work.
The terminal for the connection to the output contacts for the EMERGENCY position is provided. The output contacts for the NORMAL position is also provided. These terminals are marked and the terminals appear on the side of the panel. On 400 amp metal frame units, the terminals appear on the bracket above the operator handle.
