Installation Procedure

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Install a new gasket and turbocharger (2) into position on the exhaust manifold.

- Install three nuts (3) that fasten turbocharger (2) to the exhaust manifold. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 22 N·m (16 lb ft).
- Connect oil line (4) to turbocharger (2) .
- Connect oil drain hose onto turbocharger (2) and tighten hose clamp (5) .

- Install turbocharger cover (1) onto turbocharger (2) .

End By:
- Install the air inlet elbow. Refer to Disassembly and assembly, "Air Inlet Elbow - Remove and Install".
- Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Disassembly and assembly, "Air Cleaner - Remove and Install".
- Install the exhaust elbow. Refer to Disassembly and assembly, "Exhaust Elbow - Remove and Install".
