Installation Procedure

1. Put fuel filter base (2) and fuel filter (6) in position on the engine as a unit.

2. Install bolts (7) and nuts (8) that hold fuel filter base (2) in position on the engine. Tighten the bolts and nuts to a torque of 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

3. Connect fuel line (1) and two fuel lines (3) to fuel filter base (2) .

4. Connect fuel lines (5) to the fuel filter base (2) .

Note: If the fuel filter was not removed from the fuel filter base, skip Step 5.

5. Install fuel filter (6), as follows:

   1. Replace the seal (not shown) on fuel filter base (2) .

   2. Insert fuel filter (6) into fuel filter base (2) .

   3. Install locking collar (4). Turn locking collar (4) in a clockwise direction in order to lock fuel filter (6) in position.
