Change of Mounting Location for the Middle Vibration Isolator on All 3508 Generator Set Packages {1021}

Usage:

3508 1ZF
Engine: Generator Set
3508 (S/N: 1ZF1-UP; 23Z1-UP; 3LS1-UP; 5PW1-UP; 5XM1-UP; 70Z1-UP; 8TL1-UP)
3508B (S/N: 2BM1-UP; 2HW1-UP; 3DM1-UP; 4GM1-UP; 5KW1-UP; 6PN1-UP; 7SM1-UP; CNB1-UP)

Vibrations have been noticed on 3508 generator sets. These vibrations are due to the present locations of the vibration isolators. In order to eliminate these vibrations, it has been determined that the mounting location of the middle isolator should be moved toward the front of the engine. Table 1 through Table 4 list the new isolator mounting locations. All dimensions are referenced from the reference points (4) shown in Illustration 1 and Illustration 2. In the tables below, positive mounting locations are on the engine side of the reference point. Negative mounting locations are on the generator side of the reference point.

In addition, a welded lifting eye has been added to each rail on all 3508 generator set packages. This lifting eye (7) will assist in lifting and handling the generator set. The 123-8359 Bracket will no longer be used.
