Description of Change: Certain 365C and 385C Excavators have had cracks occur at the base edge and side plates. The cracks usually develop on the plate, not the welds. The Hardox steel plate has a high hardness that makes the plate susceptible to cracks.
Adaptable To: Improvements to 248-7068 Bucket and Adjuster Gp and 260-1097 Bucket and Adjuster Gp have been made. Refer to the tables below for the effectivity of the improved buckets.

Base Edge Horizontal Crack |
If the base edge is cracked horizontally through the plane of the parent material as shown in Illustration1, replace the cutting edge. Refer to REHS2834.
If the base edge is vertically cracked completely through the parent material (top to bottom), replace the cutting edge. Refer to REHS2834.
For cracks in the base edge that do not go completely through the parent material vertically, gouge out and reweld the cracks. Refer to REHS1841.
