(1) 9F6304 Spring for the engine oil cooler bypass valve:
Length under test force ... 53.98 mm (2.125 in)
Test force ... 144 to 159 N (32.3 to 35.7 lb)
Free length after test ... 105.6 mm (4.16 in)
Outside diameter ... 20.6 mm (.81 in)
(2) Torque for the center studs under the filter base [put 9S3263 Thread Lock on the last 10 mm (.40 in) if thread at base end of studs] ... 80 ± 14 N·m (60 ± 10 lb ft)
Put engine oil on the filter seal. Put filter (3) in position and tighten until the seal makes contact with the base. Turn the filter and additional 270 degrees.
(4) Filtered oil.
(5) Unfiltered oil.
