Description of Change: The height of the nut, the hardness of the material, and the torque specification have increased. The improvements fasten the nut for the rocker arm in the valve mechanism group more securely.
Adaptable To: The improved nut is a component in the nonserviceable item 223-0075 Valve Mechanism Gp. The improved nut is effective with the engine serial number L3E176714-UP. The improved nut is adaptable to the engine serial number L3E1-176713.
The location of the improved nut is shown in Illustration 1. Make sure that the improved nut is torqued correctly. The height and the torque specification for the improved nut is listed in Table 1.
Note: Use the information in Table 1 in order to determine the correct torque for the nuts on the rocker arms in your machine.
