Improvements to the Carrier Assembly On Brush Cutters {670B}

Usage:

BR272 DLY
Work Tool:
BR160 (S/N: SDB1-UP)
BR166 (S/N: SWB1-UP)
BR172 (S/N: TAB1-UP)
BR272 (S/N: DLY1-UP)
BR378 (S/N: RDN1-UP)

Description of Change: A design change to the bolted joint increases the contact area of the bolt and carrier assembly on the above listed brush cutters. The improved carrier allows the increased preload for the size of the bolts.

Adaptable To: The new carrier assembly is effective with the models in Table 1.

The necessary components for the replacement of the carrier assembly are listed in Table 2.

(A)

Torque for the bolt ... 610 ± 80 N·m (450 ± 60 lb ft)

(B)

Torque for the bolts ... 1050 ± 80 N·m (775 ± 60 lb ft)

Note: (B) Optional torque turn method. Tighten the nut to an initial torque of 500 N·m (370 lb ft). Turn the nut an additional 60 degrees in order to achieve the required 1050 ± 80 N·m (775 ± 60 lb ft) torque value.
