Description of Change: An improved refueling switch prevents the fuel pump from excessively filling or inadequately filling the fuel tank. The wire connection inside the refueling switch is tightened more securely. The secure connection prevents the wire from coming loose. The soldered connection inside the switch is also improved.

An improved assembly process makes sure that the float for the switch is oriented correctly. The improved assembly process also prevents damage to the insulation for the wire. Damaged insulation creates an electrical ground that causes failure of the switch.

Adaptable To: The improved 5C-6108 Refueling Switch is effective with the machines that are listed in Table 1. The improved switch is adaptable to the models that are listed. The location of the improvements in the switch are shown in Illustration 1. If the 5C-6108 Refueling Switch fails, replace the switch with a new 5C-6108 Refueling Switch.
