CID 0248 FMI 09 Cat Data Link not communicating
Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The Electronic Control Module (ECM) detects all of the following conditions:
- The battery voltage to the ECM has been above 9 VDC for the last two seconds.
- The engine is not cranking.
- Communication was lost for two or more seconds.
System Response:
The ECM will log the diagnostic code.
All features that depend on the Cat Data Link will be disabled.
Test Step 1. Perform the following diagnostic procedure: Cat Data Link Circuit - Test

- OK - STOP
