Description of Change: New seals for the glass in the cab are manufactured from a material that is softer. The new material has increased flexibility. The increased flexibility improves the service life of the seal.

The thickness of the new seals is also increased. The increased thickness closes the gap between the top and the bottom windshield. The improved seals prevent the entry of debris and moisture into the cab.

Adaptable To: The new 262-7932 Weather Strip replaces the former 142-1256 Strip in 300B Excavators that are configured with a two-piece windshield. The new 263-9442 Seal replaces the former 167-4182 Seal in 300C Excavators that are configured with a two-piece windshield. The new 264-0214 Seal replaces the former 167-4182 Seal in 300C Excavators that are configured with a fixed windshield. The effectivity of the new seals is listed in Table 1. The new seals are adaptable to the models that are listed. The locations of the new seals is shown in the illustrations. Use Loctite 5067 adhesive in order to assemble the new seals with the glass in the cab.
