Permanent Timing Calibration Sensor
This sensor is used to calibrate the top center (TC) position as the position is seen by the engine speed/timing sensor. The sensor is installed in the TC port. The port is located on the flywheel housing. The Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) compares the signal from the sensor from the signal from the engine speed/timing sensor. Make any adjustments that are needed to the reference point that is used. Make these adjustments with the use of the electronic control module (ECM).
