Usage:
1. Remove the fan belts from the fan drive. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly, "Remove Fan Drive" for additional information.
2. Attach a strap and a suitable lifting device to the vibration damper and pulley. Remove six bolts (1) that hold vibration damper (3) and pulley (2) to the crankshaft.
3. Remove vibration damper (3) and pulley (2). The weight of the vibration damper and pulley is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).
4. Remove vibration damper (3) from pulley (2).
NOTE: The following steps are for installation of the vibration damper and pulley.
NOTE: The dash marks on the front of the damper assembly must be in alignment with each other. A new damper assembly will be needed if the dash marks are not in alignment.
5. Put vibration damper (3) in position on pulley (2).
6. Attach a hoist to the vibration damper and pulley. Use a 5/8-18 NF x 152 mm (6 in) long Guide Bolt, and put the vibration damper and pulley in position on the crankshaft.
7. Put 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the bolts, and install six bolts (1) that hold the vibration damper and pulley to the crankshaft. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 215 ± 40 N·m (159 ± 30 lb ft).
8. Install the fan belts. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly, "Install Fan Drive" for additional information.
