Display Area For Tattletale Mode |
Tattletale Mode is a tool for management and maintenance. The history of the engine can be recorded in this mode. The main display module records the extreme value for each condition of the engine that is monitored. The values come from sensor inputs, switch inputs and the CAT data link. Tattletale values are updated whenever a value occurs that is more extreme than the previous value. Any potential new extreme readings are ignored for a short period of time after each start-up. This allows the engine systems to stabilize before the recording of information.
Information from the tattletale is retained until the information is cleared. Grounding the clear input erases the information. After clearing, all information is reset to a nominal value and the recording of new extreme values begins.
Note: The date, time or duration of the extreme value that has occurred is not recorded.
Use the SCROLL Switch in order to advance the readout to the first tattletale value. The readout will momentarily show the system identifier "-PA-X-". Then, the display will change to the tattletale value. SeeSystems Operation, "Numeric Readout Mode".

Display Area |
Press the SCROLL Switch again for each succeeding tattletale value. The system identifier is shown before the actual value is shown on the six digit display area. Since there are NO gauges present on the EMCP II / II+ applications covered by this manual, "-PA-X-" is shown. See Systems Operation, "Numeric Readout Mode" in order to see the table describing the actual sensors associated with each system identifier "-PA-X-".
Information (tattletale) is retained until the information is cleared from the memory of the Main Display Module. Clearing all information (tattletale) from the memory of the Main Display Module is accomplished by pushing the "MODE/CLEAR" Switch to the CLEAR position while "- -" is displayed on the readout. After clearing, all information (tattletale) is reset to a nominal value and the recording of new extreme values can begin. Individual tattletale values can be cleared one at a time by pushing the "MODE/CLEAR" Switch to CLEAR while the tattletale value is being displayed on the readout.
