Hydraulic Tank (Typical Example) (1) Return oil filter |
The elements are installed in the return flow chambers that are inside the hydraulic tank. Oil flows from the return oil manifold into the filter elements. The return oil flows into the return oil filter housing at the top. Then, the oil flows from the outside to the inside through the filter elements.
Clean hydraulic oil leaves the filter elements through the oil diffuser below the oil level in the hydraulic tank. This prevents the formation of foam in the oil.
If the filter becomes full of debris, the flow restriction causes a pressure increase inside the filter. The pressure oil causes the bypass valve to open. Then, the oil goes past the elements directly into the hydraulic tank.
Swing Circuit Filter
The swing circuit filter cleans the oil that is delivered by the swing charging pump to the swing pump.
Case Drain Filter
The case drain filters for the main pump, the swing pump, the travel motor, and the pilot circuit are large particle filters for cleaning the leakage oil.

Hydraulic tank (3) includes breather (6) and return oil filter (2). The oil level can be checked by using the sight gauge that is located in the main pump compartment.
The air breather is located on the top of the hydraulic tank. The air breather prevents changes in oil pressure in the tank that may occur due to a change in the oil level and/or the temperature.
