  1. Install Tool (A), a strap, and a suitable lifting device onto flywheel (2) .

  1. Remove six bolts (1) that secure flywheel (2) from the crankshaft.

  1. Remove flywheel (2). The weight of the flywheel is 50 kg (110 lb).

    Note: Dowel pin hole (3) is slightly offset in order to ensure correct installation.

  1. Check the condition of the dowels (not shown). If the dowels are damaged, use new parts for replacement.

  1. Check the condition of the ring gear (4). Replace the ring gear with a new part if the gear is worn or damaged.

  1. Place flywheel (2) and ring gear (4) on a suitable support.

    Note: Identify the orientation of the ring gear on the flywheel for the correct positioning when the new ring gear is installed.

  1. Use a hammer and a punch in order to remove ring gear (4) from the flywheel.
