Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Remove".

1. If necessary, remove oil tube assembly (3) .

2. Remove twelve exhaust manifold bolts (1) .

3. Remove exhaust manifold (2) .

4. Remove exhaust manifold gasket (4) that is located between exhaust manifold (2) and the cylinder head assembly.

Installation Procedure

1. Install exhaust manifold gasket (4) between exhaust manifold (2) and the cylinder head assembly.

2. Install exhaust manifold (2) .

3. Install twelve exhaust manifold bolts (1). Tighten exhaust manifold bolts (1) to a torque of 35 ± 5 N·m (26 ± 4 lb ft).

4. If necessary, install oil tube assembly (3) .

End By: Install the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Install".
