Rocker Shaft and Push Rod - Remove
Start By:
- Remove the valve cover and the spark plug. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Valve Cover and Spark Plug - Remove and Install".

- Remove bolts (1) and remove rocker shaft (2) from the valve cover base.

Illustration 2 g00587021 Note: Place an identification mark on each pushrod in order to identify the proper location in the engine.
- Remove pushrods (4) from the valve lifters.
- Remove valve bridges (3).
