(3) Fuel injection nozzle (4) Cylinder head (5) Gasket (6) Seal (7) Cap (8) Spacer

Note: Do not reuse gasket (5) and seal (6). Replace the gasket and the seal with new parts before installation.

1. Clean spacer (8) and cap (7) .

2. Install gasket (5) and spacer (8) into cylinder head (4) .

3. Install cap (7) onto spacer (8). Install seal (6) with the flat side facing toward cap (7) .

4. Install fuel injection nozzles (3) into cylinder head (4). Tighten the fuel injection nozzles to a torque of 81 N·m (60 lb ft).

5. Put fuel return line (2) in position on fuel injection nozzles (3). Inspect the copper gaskets that are on the fuel return line at the injectors. If the copper gaskets are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Install the copper gaskets on each fuel injector.

6. Install nuts (1) that fasten fuel return line (2) onto the fuel injection nozzles. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

End By: Install the fuel injection lines. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Injection Lines - Remove and Install".
