(7) Slave piston adjusting screw

Adjust the brake slave piston lash while the engine is stopped. The exhaust valves must be closed in order to adjust the brake slave piston lash. Refer to the Testing and Adjusting, "Compression Brake" topic for the correct procedure for the adjustment of the compression brake.

Note: The valve lash must be adjusted prior to adjustment of the slave piston for the compression brake.

(9) Rocker arm adjustment screw

Adjust the valve lash while the engine is stopped. Refer to the Testing and Adjusting, "Air Inlet and Exhaust Syatem" topic for the correct procedure for the adjustment of the valve lash.

(10) Locknut

Tighten the locknut to the following torque. ... 30 N·m (22 lb ft)
