(1) Actuator

Note: The ports are stamped "Inlet" and "Outlet".

Align the actuator's inlet and outlet ports according to illustration 1.

(2) Full nut

Torque ... 200 ± 20 N·m (150 ± 15 lb ft)

(3) Clevis

Apply 4C-4030 Thread Lock Compound to the threads of the clevis.

(4) Rod

Assemble the rod in order to provide equal thread engagement at both ends.

(5) Full nut

Torque ... 25 ± 6 N·m (18 ± 4 lb ft)

(6) Pointer

When the throttle is in the fully open position, orient the pointer to the 12 o'clock position.

(10) Distance from the actuator's mounting bracket to the center of the rod end ... 78.3 mm (3.08 inch)

(11) Distance from center to center of the rod ends ... 121.2 mm (4.77 inch)

(12) Angle of the lever ... 22 degrees from the vertical position

Adjust the linkage in order to make sure that the throttle plate does not bind at the fully closed position. Perform the following procedure:

  1. Ensure that the throttle plate is fully closed and that the throttle linkage is fully extended.

  2. Rotate rod (4) for one full turn (360 degrees) in order to shorten the rod.

  3. Tighten full nuts (5).

  4. Rotate the throttle plate throughout the travel range in order to ensure that there is no binding.
