Adjust the linkage in order to make sure that the throttle plate does not bind at the fully closed position. Perform the following procedure:
- Ensure that the throttle plate is fully closed and that the throttle linkage is fully extended.
- Rotate rod (4) for one full turn (360 degrees) in order to shorten the rod.
- Tighten full nuts (5).
- Rotate the throttle plate throughout the travel range in order to ensure that there is no binding.
