Installation Procedure of Pre-cleaner With Dust Ejection On Certain 836K Landfill Compactors {1055, 1068}

Usage:

836K LWZ
Landfill Compactor
836K (S/N: LWZ1-232; TWZ1-254,401-455,500-695)

Introduction

Do not perform any procedure in this Special Instruction until you have read the information and you understand the information. This Special Instruction contains information detailing the installation procedure of the following pre-cleaners with dust ejection on the machines listed above. Use of the pre-cleaners with dust ejection will optimize engine air filter service intervals.

  1. Standard pre-cleaner with landfill screen and dust ejection (Strata tube)

    • Fine mesh screen with large surface area to prevent debris ingestion.

    • Single stage pre-cleaner with dust ejection.

    • Lowest initial filter restriction.

    • Requires maintenance (cleaning) of the pre-cleaner assembly.

  2. Dual stage turbine pre-cleaner with dust ejection (Optimax)

    • Dual stage pre-cleaner with dust ejection

    • Turbine in first stage of pre-cleaner

    • More initial filter restriction than that of the Strata tube pre-cleaner.

    • Requires limited pre-cleaner maintenance (cleaning) of the pre-cleaner assembly.
