Description Of Change: New front valve bank covers are available for the machines listed above. The new covers are designed to help reduce the possibility of interference with the cab doors.
Adaptable To: The parts listed in Table 1 are adaptable to machines within the listed serial numbers, and effective with all machines after the listed serial numbers. Refer to procedure below for instructions on performing the installation.

Machine Preparation
Note: Permit only one person on the machine. Either keep others away from the machine, or keep other personnel in sight of the operator.
- Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location. Move away from any machines that are working and any personnel.
- Move the transmission control to the PARK position.
- Activate the parking brake.
- Place blocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels.
- Stop the engine and allow the engine to cool.
- Turn battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Procedure
- Remove the existing rear valve bank covers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual , UENR3488 , Bank Valve - Disassemble - Rear Frame. Discard the cover and save all mounting hardware with care, for later use to install new covers.

(B) Bracket - Remove bracket (A) from the right side and remove bracket (B) from the left side of the front frame. Discard the brackets and save all mounting hardware with care, for later use to install new brackets.

(5)519-8440 Plate As - Use all mounting hardware that were saved in Step ***#i07377478/i07191816.12*** and install cover assembly (3) on right side of the frame and install cover assembly (4) on left side of the frame. Install plate assembly (5).
- Open and close the cab doors to ensure that the covers do not interfere with the doors. If there is interference between the covers and doors, adjust the covers and/or the doors to prevent the interference.
- Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position and return the machine to service.
