Configuration File - Uninstall

Usage:

- PL7
If a configuration file is placed on a piece of equipment that the file was not validated for, the file can negatively affect the data link of the equipment that the Product Link system is installed on. Placing incorrect configuration files on equipment can lead to an ECM reset. If the ECM is reset, uninstall the configuration file.

Complete the following steps to uninstall the configuration file.

  1. Connect to the "Web Configuration" home page. For more information, refer to System Operation Troubleshooting Testing and Adjusting, M0076820, "Service Tools" for more information.

  3. Check all three of the boxes for "Standard Config", "Engineering Config", and "Customer Config".

  4. Select the "Delete" button.

  5. Power cycle the Network Manager, and equipment that the PLE742 system is installed on.

Note: If the data link health issues persist work through your Dealer TC for more Service Technical support at Caterpillar. If a service request is necessary, the TC can enter a "Product Technology" service request through the PSCRM system.
