Muffler and Mounting - Remove and Install
Removal and Installation Procedure
- Remove bolt (2) and remove strap (1).
- Dimension (A) should measure
72.7± 6 mm (2.86 ± 0.2 inch) . Adjust muffler if necessary. Final adjustments may need made after the muffler is installed. - Replace strap (1) and tighten bolts (2) and (5) to a torque of
5 N·m (44 lb in) . Ensure that the strap is perpendicular to the muffler. - Remove bolt (3) and remove strap (4).
- Replace strap (4) and tighten bolts (3) and (6) to a torque of
5 N·m (44 lb in) . Ensure that the strap is perpendicular to the muffler. - Check straps (1) and (4) again ensuring the straps are perpendicular to the muffler.
- Tighten bolts (2), (3), (5), and (6) in order, to a torque of
20 ± 3 N·m (177 ± 27 lb in) .

Note: Replace straps (1) and (4) as a pair.
Note: The replacement of straps (1) and (4) can be performed without disconnecting or removing the muffler.
