Description of Change: The air lines group connects the turbochargers to the air to air aftercooler, (ATAAC). New, non-serviced plates, and new welds have been added to the air lines group to prevent movement of the tube assemblies. The changes will improve the service life of the hoses in the air lines group.
Adaptable To: The installation of the 288-2624 Air Lines Gp is improved. For instructions on the manufacture of the non-serviced plates and the correct welds to add, refer to the above listed Special Instruction, "Install the 288-2624 Air Lines Gp to the Radiator Module".
The improvements to the installation of the 288-2624 Air Lines Gp are adaptable to machines LAJ1-575 and WSP1-129. The improvements became effective in production with machines LAJ576-UP and WSP130-UP.
The earlier machines can be updated to the latest configuration. The parts to manufacture and the new welds needed to update the earlier machines to the current configuration is available in the above listed special instruction.
