Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

If you are requested to return the 363-4364 Fuel Filter and the 384-8512 Fuel Filter , follow the procedure in order to return the fuel filter.

Solution

Remove the fuel filter as normal but ensure that the fuel is drained out of the outlet side of the screen. If possible, capture the fuel and send the fuel with the screen if this will not delay the shipping of the fuel filter. Shipping the fuel is not essential.

Packaging

Drain as much fuel out of the fuel filter as possible without shaking the fuel filter or disturbing the debris in the fuel filter

Cap both ends of the screen. Use the caps that were removed from the new fuel filter. Seal in a clean plastic bag and wrap in at least two layers of bubble wrap. Pack the fuel filter securely in a box so that the screen is not free to move around. Fill out as much of the checklist as possible and put the checklist in box with the fuel filter.
