8N6287 Fuel Priming Knob Kit has the necessary parts for reconditioning of 6N6800, 6N6802, 6N6803, 6N6804, 6N6805, 8N490 and 8N495 Fuel Priming Pump Assemblies on the above machines. A new knob, cover, spring and washers are part of the kit. A groove pin is also installed so the knob will not become loose. For installation of the kit, see the instructions that follow.
1 Remove the fuel priming pump assembly. See the Service Manual.
2 Remove knob (1), cover (2), washer (3), spring (4) and washer (5) from the fuel priming pump assembly.
3 Put 8J3534 Washer (6), 6N8136 Spring (7), 8J3534 Washer (8) and 6N6825 Cover (9) in position on rod assembly (10). Install 8N6289 Knob (11) on the rod assembly. Drill a 2.380 +0.076 -0.0250 (0.094" +0.003" -0.001"0) hole (A), 10.0 ± 0.5 (0.39" ± 0.02") deep, into the knob and rod assembly as shown. Install 8N494 Groove Pin (12).
NOTE: For 6N6802 and 6N6803 Fuel Priming Pump Assemblies, use 6N8135 Washer in place of washer (8) and 6N6824 Knob in place of knob (11).
4 Install the fuel priming pump assembly. See the Service Manual.
