    Note: DEF pump coolant connectors (46) and DEF pump connectors (47) must be installed in the original location when removed. DEF pump coolant connectors (46) and DEF pump connectors (47) are not interchangeable.

  1. Install the O-ring seals (not shown) .Install DEF pump coolant connectors (46) and DEF pump connectors (47).

  2. Tighten DEF pump coolant connectors (46) to a torque of 5.5 ± 0.5 N·m (48 ± 4 lb in).

  3. Tighten DEF pump connectors (47) to a torque of 4.5 ± 0.5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb in).

  4. Install harness assembly (44) and cable straps (45).

    Note: Do not use an impact on bolts (41).

  5. Install pump (43) in support assembly (42)

  6. . Install bolts (41). Tighten bolts (41) to a torque of 19 ± 2 N·m (168 ± 18 lb in).

  7. Connect harness assembly (40).

    Note: Do not use an impact on bolts (39).

  8. Install bracket (37), bolts (39), and cable straps (38).

  9. Install filter (36).

  10. Install expansion device (35).

  11. Install cover (34). Tighten cover (34) to a torque of 20 ± 5 N·m (177 ± 44 lb in).

  12. Install electronic control (31).

  13. Install cable straps (32) and connect harness assembly (33).

  14. Install control module (30) and bolts (29). Tighten bolts (29) to a torque of 10 ± 2 N·m (89 ± 18 lb in).

    Note: Do not use an impact on the bolts for relays (28).

  15. Install relays (28).

    Note: Do not use an impact on the bolts for solenoid assembly (27).

  16. Install solenoid assembly (27) and connect harness assembly (26).

  17. Install plug (24) and plug (25) on manifold (22).

  18. Install O-ring seals (23) in cap (21).

    Note: Do not use an impact on bolts (19).

  19. Install manifold (20), bolts (19), cap (17), bolts (18). Tighten bolts (18) to a torque of 6 ± 1 N·m (53 ± 9 lb in)

  20. Install bracket (16) on the tank.

  21. Install bolts (15).

  22. Install pump assembly (14) and bolts (13).

    Note: Do not use an impact on bolt (12).

  23. Install bolt (12). Tighten bolt (12) to a torque of 4 ± 1 N·m (35 ± 9 lb in)

  24. Install bolts (11).

  25. Install the gasket (not shown), manifold (10), plate (9), and bolts (8). Tighten bolts (8) in an alternating sequence to a torque of 5 ± 1 N·m (44 ± 9 lb in). Tighten bolts (8) a second time in an alternating sequence to a torque of 5 ± 1 N·m (44 ± 9 lb in).

  26. Connect harness assembly (7) and install cable straps (6).

    Note: Do not use an impact on the bolts for clips (1) and (5).

  27. Install hoses (3). Apply Tooling (A) to the O-rings (not shown) inside hose assemblies (4). Connect hose assemblies (4) and harness assemblies (2). Install clips (1). Tighten the bolts for clips (1) to a torque of 6 ± 1 N·m (53 ± 9 lb in). Install clips (5).

  28. Install tank (50) in support assembly (51).

  29. Install straps (52) and nuts (53). Tighten nuts (53) to a torque of 8 ± 2 N·m (71 ± 18 lb in). Torque nuts (53) to a final torque of 11 ± 1 N·m (97 ± 9 lb in).

    Note: Only apply torque once to nuts (53) when tightening straps (52). Apply torque to nuts (53) in the W, X, Y, Z sequence shown in Illustration 23.

    Note: Two types of straps are used to support different tank configurations. Only apply torque once to the nuts on both types of straps.

  30. Install bracket (48) and hose assembly (49).
