Remanufactured 3400 Cylinder Heads Now Use Intake And Exhaust Valves With Chrome Plated Valve Stems{1105}

Caterpillar Machines Powered By 3400 Machine Engines

Description of Change: Remanufactured cylinder heads will be assembled with chrome plated valve stems. This change will provide longer valve life in severe applications.

Adaptable To: The new chrome plated part numbers are 108-5902 Intake Valve and 106-1111 Exhaust Valve. They will be used on all remanufactured 3406, 3408 and 3412 Cylinder Heads with date code of February 1994 (NMDR) or later.

NOTE: All Remanufactured 3400 Cylinder Heads with date code prior to that listed above will have valve part numbers as listed in the chart below.
