Start By:

  1. Install the platform (right hand).

    Note: Do not tighten band clamps at this time.

  1. Align the arrow on bellow assembly (20) with the flow of exhaust. Install one bellows assembly (20), two band clamps (19), and one band clamp (4) onto tube assembly (10).

    Note: Do not tighten band clamps at this time.

  2. Align the arrow on bellow assembly (20) with the flow of exhaust. Install one bellows assembly (20), two band clamps (19), and one band clamp (4) onto tube assembly (1).

  3. Remove the two shipping covers from the top of the engine. Discard the shipping covers.

    Note: Do not tighten band clamps and bolts at this time.

  4. Attach a suitable lifting device to tube assembly (10). The combined weight of tube assembly (10) and bellows assembly (20) is approximately 26 kg (57 lb). Position tube assembly (10) and bellows assembly (20). Install one band clamp (4), one strap (13), two bolts (11), and two hard washers (12).

  5. Attach a suitable lifting device to tube assembly (1). The combined weight of tube assembly (1) and bellows assembly (20) is approximately 26 kg (57 lb). Position tube assembly (1) and bellows assembly (20). Install one band clamp (4), one strap (13), two bolts (11), and two hard washers (12).

  6. Install one tube assembly (22) and one band clamp (19) onto tube assembly (21).

  7. Install one bracket assembly (14), four hard washers (8), and four bolts (7).

    Note: Do not tighten band clamps and bolts at this time.

  8. Attach a suitable lifting device to tube assembly (21). The combined weight of tube assembly (21) and tube assembly (22) is approximately 39 kg (86 lb). Position tube assembly (21) and tube assembly (22). Install two band clamps (19), one clamp assembly (15), one washer (16), and one bolt (18).

  9. Tighten two bolts (11), one bolt (18), four band clamps (19) and one band clamp (4). Tighten one band clamp (4) and four band clamps (19) to a torque of 13 ± 1 N·m (115 ± 9 lb in).

  10. Install one bracket assembly (2), four hard washers (8), and four bolts (7).

    Note: Do not tighten band clamps and bolts at this time.

  11. Attach a suitable lifting device to tube assembly (3). The weight of tube assembly (3) is approximately 16 kg (35 lb). Position tube assembly (3). Install two band clamps (19), one clamp assembly (15), one washer (16), and one bolt (18).

  12. Tighten two bolts (11), one bolt (18), four band clamps (19) and one band clamp (4). Tighten one band clamp (4) and four band clamps (19) to a torque of 13 ± 1 N·m (115 ± 9 lb in).

  13. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolts (5). Apply Tooling (A) the mating surface of the muffler and extension pipes (17). Install two extension pipes (17), two clamps (9), two bolts (5), and two locknuts (6).
