MH3049 Material Handler Hydraulic System Caterpillar

Travel Parking Brake

Usage:

MH3049 HPB
The park brake is integral with each planetary final drive. The park brake uses spring force to apply the brake and is released hydraulically.

(3) Ports for the park brake hydraulic lines

Park brake hydraulic lines are connected to ports (3), which are labeled "BR".

(4) Spring brake

(5) Relief valve

(6) Park brake pressure sensor

When there is a request to disengage the parking brake, the IQAN system sends a signal to park brake solenoid (2). This action will send pilot oil to spring brake (4) hydraulically releasing the spring pressure at each final drive.

Park brake pressure sensor (6) sends an electrical signal to Lower controller 1. Lower controller 1 will monitor the pressure of the park brake system.
