Travel System
The travel system utilizes seven major components in the machine hydraulic system to provide machine travel. The seven major components are the following:
- Four bi-directional travel motors
- The main hydraulic pumps which supply oil for travel motor operation
- Four control valve spools in the lower main control valve, which control the flow of oil to the travel motors from the main hydraulic pumps
- Travel propel solenoid valves, used for controlling machine movement forward and rearward
- The pilot manifold, which contains the travel displacement solenoid valve and the park brake solenoid valve
- The swivel, which is the rotating connection for all travel system hydraulic oil lines and electrical lines between the rotating upper structure "carbody" and the stationary lower structure
- The oscillating axle solenoid valves which control oil in the oscillating axle cylinders
Note: Refer to the appropriate sections in this manual for more information.
