Reference: Service Magazine; May 1, 1989, Page 9, "New Fuel Manifolds Changed To Steel."
Description of Change: New fuel manifolds have thicker tube walls along with new clamps with rubber grommets. Also, the fuel lines that cross the front of the engine are secured with new rubber-grommet clamps. The thicker wall tubes reduce vibration levels and the ends of the manifolds. Mounting the manifolds and crossover fuel lines with the new clamps helps to isolate them from vibration.
Adaptable To: The new manifold and fuel line clamps are effective with serial numbers listed in Chart A.
The new fuel manifolds and other new parts are listed in Chart B. The new manifolds can be installed on earlier engines.
