Note: Clean the object detection sensors before inspection and adjustment.
Note: When accessing the object detection sensors for cleaning or inspection, be sure to observe safe procedures for access. Maintain a three-point contact and/or use a body harness.
Inspect
- Inspect the brackets and the covers of the object detection sensors.
- Inspect the covers of the object detection sensors for cracks or damage.
Note: When a cover for the radar detector has been damaged, replace the cover.
- Ensure that the mounting bolts are tight.
- Verify that there is no damage to the brackets or to the object detection sensors.
- With the machine on a level surface and using a digital level verify that the elevation of the sensor is set to original specifications.
- Using the azimuth marks on the bracket or a protractor, verify that the azimuth adjustment is set to the original specifications.
