Neutral Start Switch - Adjust

Diesel engine exhaust contains products of combustion which may cause personal injury. Always start and operate the engine in a well ventilated area, and, if in an enclosed area, vent the exhaust to the outside. |

Note: Perform this procedure if the machine will not start while the propel lever is in NEUTRAL position. Perform this procedure if the machine will start while the lever is out of the NEUTRAL position.
- Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.
- Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.

- Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
- Use throttle control switch (3) in order to operate the engine in low idle.

- Move engine start switch (4) to the OFF position.

- Unlock latches (5) and open engine hood (6) .

- Raise support bar (7) and secure the engine hood.

- Disconnect propel control cable (9) from the propel pump.

- Place direction control valve (8) in the NEUTRAL position.
- Disconnect electrical connector (10) from neutral start switch (11) .

- Insert spoons of Tool (B) into end of connector (10) which is attached to neutral start switch (11). Connect Tool (B) to the "COM" port and "V-Ohms" port on Tool (A). Place dial on Tool (A) into the ALARM position.
- Loosen the locknut while holding neutral start switch (11) .
- If alarm generated by Tool (A) is sounding, rotate neutral start switch (11) clockwise until the audible alarm generated by Tool (A) stops.
- Rotate neutral start switch (11) counterclockwise until the alarm begins to sound.
- Hold neutral start switch (11), and tighten the locknut.
- Remove the tooling, and reconnect neutral start switch connector (10). Reconnect propel control cable (9) .
- Remove and secure support bar (7). Close engine hood (6) .
