Spacer Plates

Usage:

Remove Spacer Plates

Start By:

a. remove cylinder head

1. Remove seals (1) from the spacer plate.

2. Install six 3/8" -16 NC forcing screws (3) in the spacer plate. Tighten the screws evenly until the plate is free of the dowels on the cylinder head.


NOTICE

Do not damage dowels (2) as the plate is removed.


Install Spacer Plates

1. Make sure the spacer plate and the machined surface (3) of the cylinder block are clean and free of dirt and foreign material.

2. Install O-ring seals (1).

3. Put a new gasket into position over dowels (3) on the cylinder block.

4. Install spacer plate (4).


NOTICE

Both surfaces of the spacer plate, gasket and the top of the cylinder block must be clean. Do not use a gasket adhesive or other substances of these surfaces.


5. Install a new washer seals in the spacer plate.

6. Check the cylinder liner projection. See Install Cylinder Liners.
