Valves

Usage:

Remove Valves

Start By:

a. remove cylinder head assemblies

b. remove precombustion chambers/direct injection adapters

1. Put springs (1) in compression with Tool (A).

2. Remove locks from valves.

3. Remove Tool (A), rotocoil, spring and valve.

NOTE: If valves can be used again, put identification on the valves for location at installation.

4. Check the spring force with tool (B). Make reference to Specifications to find the correct spring specifications.

5. Do Steps 1 through 4 again for the remainder of the valves.

Install Valves

1. Put clean engine oil on the valve stem. Install spring (2), rotocoil (1) and valve.

2. Put the springs in compression with Tool (A).

3. Install locks (3) with the thick end up.

------ WARNING! ------

Locks can be thrown from the valve when the spring compressor is released if the locks are not in their correct position.

--------WARNING!------

4. Remove compressor and hit valve with a soft hammer to be sure the locks are in their correct position.

5. Do Steps 1 through 4 again for the remainder of the valves.

End By:

a. install precombustion chambers/direct injection adapters.

b. install cylinder head assemblies
