Turbocharger (Marine Engine)

Usage:

Remove Turbocharger (Marine Engine)

1. Disconnect line (3).

2. Remove two bolts (7).

3. Remove line (3).

4. Remove bolts (5).

5. Remove drain line (6).

6. Disconnect line (1).

7. Disconnect line (8).

8. Remove bolts (2).

9. Remove bolts (4).

10. Remove clip (9).

11. Remove line (11).

12. Remove four nuts (10).

13. Attach a strap and suitable fitting device to the turbocharger and remove turbocharger (12). Weight of the turbocharger is 41 kg (92 lb).

14. Remove pipe (13) from turbocharger (12).

Install Turbocharger (Marine Engine)

1. Put clean engine oil on the O-ring seals for pipe (3).

2. Install pipe (3) on turbocharger (1).

3. Put gasket (2) and turbocharger (1) in position on the exhaust manifold.

4. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on studs (4). Install the nuts on studs (4) and tighten to a torque of 55 ± 5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb ft).

NOTE: If studs (4) have been removed, install new studs and tighten to a torque of 25 ± 4 N·m (20 ± 3 lb ft).

5. Put oil supply line (6) in position on the engine. Install clip (5). Connect line (6) to the side of the engine.

6. Install four bolts (8).

7. Connect line (7).

8. Connect line (15).

9. Put line (9) into position on the turbocharger. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of bolts (12). Install the bolts. Connect line (9) to the turbocharger.

10. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of bolts (10). Install bolts (10).

11. Put engine oil on the O-ring seal for line (13). Put line (13) in position on the flywheel housing. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on bolts (11). Install bolts (11).

NOTE: If studs (14) have been removed, put 9S3264 Pipe Sealant on the new studs and install the studs until they are extended 25.4 ± 1.5 mm (1.00 ± .06 in) from the surface of the flywheel housing.

12. Check the engine oil coolant for the correct level.
