Remove Oil Bypass Valves (Industrial Engine)

1. Remove bolt (1). Remove clamp (3) and cover (2).

NOTE: Put identification marks on the springs and plungers as to their location in the oil filter base.

2. Remove the spring and plunger for the oil cooler bypass valve and for the oil filter bypass valve.

Install Oil Bypass Valves (Industrial Engine)

NOTE: Be sure to install the springs and plungers in their original locations in the oil filter base.

1. Install the plunger and spring (1) for the oil cooler bypass valve. Install the plunger and spring for the oil filter bypass valve.

2. Install the cover and hose clamp (2) on the oil Filter base.
