Washing System - Optional Equipment

General Information

The washing system is used to clean debris from the front of the detection sensor enclosure and camera. The system consists of the following components:

  • Tank

  • Pumps

  • "E/H" Valve

  • Manifold

  • Cab Controls

  • Nozzles

  • Timing Relay

Operation

(1) Selector Switch
(2) Wash Switch

  1. Select which radar and camera to clean.

  2. Press the wash switch to clean the radar and camera.

Note: The length of time that the system sprays can be adjusted with the timing relays. Refer to KENR8668 to adjust the timing relays.

Washing System Inspection

  1. Inspect the system for proper operation at the beginning of each shift.

    Note: When you access the system for inspection, be sure to observe safe procedures for access. Maintain a three-point contact and/or use a body harness.

  2. Ensure that the tank is full of washer solvent.

  3. Inspect the nozzles for blockage.

  4. Verify that there is no damage to the components of the system.

  5. Verify that the nozzles are properly adjusted.
