Sensor - Adjust - Mainfall Sensor

Usage:

140M 2 M9D
Ensure that the machine is in a safe resting state. In addition to the normal safety precautions that are taken in the day to day operation of heavy machinery, the following preliminary steps are recommended:

  1. Move the machine to a smooth, level location, and away from other working machines and personnel.

  1. Lower the implements to the ground.

  1. Stop the engine.

  1. Engage the parking brake for the machine.

  1. Place the disconnect switch in the OFF position.

    (1) 276-6146 Position Sensor As

    (2) 9X-2537 Bolt

    (3) 5C-2890 Nut

    (4) 9X-8256 washer

  1. Use the 9X-2537 Bolts (2), 5C-2890 Nuts (3) and 9X-8256 Washer (4) in order to secure the 276-6146 Position Sensor As (2) to the bracket.

    (5) Harness connector

  1. Attach the harness connector (5) to the connector on the mainfall sensor.

  1. Use a combination square in order to ensure that the sensor is square to the frame of the machine.

    Note: One hole for the sensor on the mounting bracket is slotted. The slotted hole allows adjustment of the sensor.

  1. Once the sensor is square to the frame of the machine, secure the mainfall sensor.

  1. Ensure that the mainfall sensor is correctly aligned after the bolts are tightened.

    Note: Tightening the bolts of the mainfall sensor can cause the mainfall sensor to move out of adjustment.
