Removing the 2W-1055 Elbow {1307}

Removing the Oil Block Elbow

    (1) Oil Block Elbow

    (2) Plug

    (3) Tube

  1. Before removing the 2W-1055 Elbow (1), clean the entire area and vacuum any loose debris from around the elbow.

  1. Remove plug (2) from the top of the oil block elbow. Place a clean rag or a plug into the hole that leads to the main oil galley.

  1. Remove tube (3). Plug the outlet from the oil filter base with a clean rag or a plug.

  1. Remove the elbow (1) .

Reassembling the Oil Block Elbow

  1. Ensure that all rags or plugs are removed from the outlet of the oil filter base and the oil galley hole.

  1. Clean all parts of the oil block elbow with a solvent that meets a 13/16 ISO cleanliness rating.

  1. Reinstall the oil block elbow (1) and the tube (3) .

  1. Use a flashlight to look into the oil filter base and oil galley. Ensure that no obstructions exist.

  1. Replace the plug (2) .
