The forward acting KG30 Governor Control Unit provides the electrical actuator (StG30/StG40) with increased electrical signals as more fuel is needed by the engine. The KG30 Governor Control Unit causes the actuator to go to MINIMUM FUEL position if the electrical signal is lost.

The E30 Electric Governor System uses an all electric actuator, eliminating the need for a mechanical governor drive and actuator oil supply. All static settings, Idle Speed, Rated Speed, and Percent Droop can be performed to a high degree of accuracy and confidence BEFORE the engine is started.
