Usage:
The KG30 Governor Control Unit is designed to operate within a temperature range of -55 to +70°C (-67 to +160°F). The unit may be mounted in any position if the required ventilation is available for cooling, and the location is not in a high vibration area.
Do NOT mount the KG30 Governor Control Unit near very high temperature areas or strong magnetic fields. The KG30 Governor Control Unit must NOT be mounted on the engine, and should have space available for servicing, repair and adjustment.
The KG30 Governor Control Unit cover MUST be removed for mounting since the mounting holes are under the cover.
The gap between the flywheel ring gear and magnetic pickup pole is normally 0.5 to 0.8 mm (.02 to .03 in). With the engine STOPPED, turn the magnetic pickup CW until it comes in contact with a gear tooth. Then turn the pickup CCW approximately 1/2 turn.
