Start By:
- Remove the final drive planetary (drum propel). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Final Drive Planetary (Drum Propel) - Remove".
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
- Remove O-ring seal (1) from the brake port on flanged hub (2) .

- Mark the position of springs (3) as a reference for the assembly procedure. Remove springs (3) .

- Install Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) to flanged hub (2) .

- Insert compressed air into the brake port. Brake piston (4) will rise to the top. Remove Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) .

- Remove brake piston (4) .

- Remove O-ring seal (5) and backup ring (6) from flanged hub (2) .

- Remove brake shaft (7) .

- Use Tooling (C) in order to remove retaining ring (8) from brake shaft (7) .
