Introduction

This Special Instruction provides instructions for replacing the cover assembly on the inside of the cab door. Use Table 1 in order to determine the cover assembly that is provided on your machine.

The cover assemblies that are identified in Table 1 have been cancelled and replaced by new cover assemblies, screws, and spacers. Information on the required parts and step-by-step instructions for installing the parts are provided in the sections that follow.

Remove cover assembly (D). See Illustration 1.
1. Remove rocker switch (C) .
1. Remove the two screws (A) .
1. Remove the four screws (B) .
1. Remove cover assembly (D) .
  Note: Retain rocker switch (C) and the four screws (B) for the reinstallation. Discard the two screws (A) and cover assembly (D) .

(1) New cover assembly (2) 315-1981 Spacer

Glue spacers (2) to the underside of new cover assembly (1), as shown. See Illustration 2. Use adhesive (4) .
Note: Apply a small amount of the adhesive on the spacer. Then, place the spacer to the underside of the cover assembly so that the hole in the spacer aligns with the mounting hole in the cover assembly. See Illustration 2. Wipe off any excess adhesive material.

Install the new cover assembly (1) on the inside of the cab door. See Illustration 2.
1. Position the new cover assembly (1) with the two spacers (2) on the inside of the cab door.
1. Reinstall rocker switch (C) .
1. Install the two new screws (3) .
1. Reinstall the four screws (B) .
