Fuel Transfer Pump

Usage:

Remove And Install Fuel Transfer Pump

NOTE: Disconnect fuel supply line at fuel transfer pump.

1. Disconnect fuel line (1).

2. Remove two bolts (2) and remove the fuel transfer pump.

NOTE: The following steps are for the installation of the fuel transfer pump.

3. Be sure the o-ring seal is in place on the fuel transfer pump. Install the fuel transfer pump and install bolts (2).

4. Connect fuel line (1).

NOTE: Connect fuel supply line.

Disassemble And Assemble Fuel Transfer Pump

Start By:

a. remove fuel transfer pump

1. Remove two bolts (1) and remove cover (2).

2. Remove gear (3).


NOTICE

Before removing input shaft and gear (5) from pump housing, be sure no burrs exist on the input shaft. If the shaft has burrs it could scratch the pump housing and damage it.


3. Install tooling (A) and remove drive gear (4), then remove gear and shaft (5) from pump housing.

4. Inspect and replace if necessary seal group (6). Inspect by-pass valve (7).

NOTE: The following steps are for the assembly of the fuel transfer pump.

4. Install shaft and gear (5) in pump housing, then press gear (4) onto shaft until gear (4) is flush with the end of the shaft.

5. Install gear (3).

6. Be sure the cover seal is in place, position cover (2) and install bolts (1).
