ACTION REQUIRED
Update the engine ECM with the new software. For flash programming the engine ECM, refer to Troubleshooting, "Flash programming". During the flashing process certain engines may have the 'Air Inlet temperature Calibration Value' set to the default parameter. This default may not be suitable for certain applications and may cause a fault code. Prior to reflashing the ECM refer to your supplying/selling dealer requesting the AIT Calibration Code for your engine. Enter this code as required during the reflashing operation. If the supplying dealer is unable to provide the AIT calibration code for the specific application then as an alternative a standard AIT off-set of 10 Deg C can be used. If it is required to use a standard 10 Deg C off set then enter the AIT code 0300006C. It is recommended to manually regenerate the engine after flashing the ECM. This will reduce any error between current and calculated soot and the possible risk of a high soot derate. |
