Installation Procedure

- Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to cab (23) and install cab (23) . The weight of cab (23) is approximately 1315 kg (2900 lb).

- Install four pin assemblies (25) . Connect ground straps (24) .

- Connect hose assemblies (20) and hoses (22) . Tighten clamps (21) .

- Connect cable assembly (17) and harness assemblies (19) . Install bolts (18) .

- Apply Tooling (C) to the threads of bolts (16) . Install bolts (16) . Tighten bolts (16) to a torque of 800 ± 100 N·m (590 ± 74 lb ft).
Note: If machines were assembled in cold conditions -10° C (14° F) or below, inspect the mounts in four places under the cab for proper installation torque. If the mounts are not seated properly or the torque is low, replace the hardware and mounts and torque to proper specification. The mounts should be stored at -10° C (14° F) or above for at least 24 hours prior to installation.

- Connect hose assemblies (15) .

- Turn valves (14) to the ON position.

- Position metering pump (13) . Install bolts (11) . Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to front cover (10) . The weight of front cover (10) is approximately 48 kg (105 lb). Install bolts (12) .

- Connect harness assemblies (8) . Install grommets (9) into front cover (10) .

- Position cover (7) and install bolt (6) .

- Position mud flap (2) and install bolts (1) .

- Charge the air conditioner system. Refer to Service Manual, SENR5664, "Air Conditioning and Heating Systems with R-134a Refrigerant". Refer to Dealer Service Tool Catalog, NENG2500, "Air Conditioning Tools" for the correct tools.
End By: Install the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove and Install".
